“People think that design is styling. Design is not style. It’s not about giving shape to the shell and not giving a damn about the guts. Good design is a renaissance attitude that combines technology, cognitive science, human need, and beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing.”
—Paola Antonelli

Consultant Network

“Supporting Design Impact is part of our mission and brand. It has directly helped us recruit talented employees that care about social impact, and attracted new business from clients that are interested in our knowledge of emerging markets.”

Matt Kornau, CEO Kaleidoscope

Each Design Impact fellow is supported by volunteer professionals, or our “consultant network”, who donate pro bono services to support each project. Whether accounting, engineering, design, or user research is your specialty, it’s a great way to give back while operating out of your core strengths.

The consultant network provides opportunities for businesses and individuals to work directly with fellows in the field. In addition to increasing your social impact, members receive added benefits from joining the consultant network, including increased employee retention and recruitment, as well as a unique socially relevant story to support your mission. Most importantly, members of the consultant network gain insight into the true needs of emerging economies, which in turn, can help to ensure more responsible global development.

If you are interested in joining the Design Impact consultant network, contact Ramsey Ford at ramsey@d-impact.org.
